Marathon Building Environments recently had the opportunity to design and furnish Missouri Employers Mutual (MEM) new Springfield, MO location.
MEM is proud to be Missouri’s #1 provider of workers compensation insurance. Headquartered in Columbia, Mo., and is committed to serving their policyholders and producers, as well as our community at large.
Marathon and MEM partnered on this project so that we met all of the clients needs in the workplace. This includes workstations with dual monitors arms, CPU cradles plus enough storage (both personal and professional) and guest seating, using mobile file pedestals with cushioned tops.
This location did not have power in the floor, so Marathon provided a system by ConnecTrac that allows MEM to have power in the middle of the floor or wherever they need it. ConnecTrac can run both power and data to the workstations and still allow MEM to have workstations throughout the space and still keeping large aisle ways and comfort without having to have unattractive power poles from the ceiling.
All of the furniture throughout the space is from JSI, Steelcase and their divisions, Coalesse, Steelcase Health and Turnstone. Some of the new products that Marathon used include: The Brody, The Massaud Seating collection, Montara650 side seating, Lagunitas Lounge Seating and the Potrero415 Conference Tables. JSI casegoods were used in all of the private offices
MEM allowed Marathon to design a new type of space for their team members, it is a Workplace Lounge. This space allows its users to have small casual meetings in a relaxed and more homey atmosphere.
The new location has ample natural light from it southern exposure windows. That also can create too much sunlight throughout a workday, so Marathon’s Pioneer Window Works division provided roller shades by Draper Inc.
All in all this was an awesome partnership and an awesome project and a job well done from the Marathon team – from Design, to Sales (furniture and PWW) and our incredible installers!!
