Marathon Building Environments, a local leader in the commercial furnishings industry, is planning to expand the Design Department! We are currently looking to add a part-time Design Assistant, offering 20-30 hours per week. Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, specification of contract furniture systems and other commercial furniture, and maintenance of our resource library. Collaborates with Lead Designers, Sales Associates and Customers to interpret and produce design and specification solutions within the customer’s timeframe and budget. Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or be degree-seeking within the field of Design. • Have a basic functional knowledge of design principals • Skilled in AutoCAD or related drawing program • Problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions to practical problems • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects with multiple requirements and deadlines • Organizational, project management and communication skills with the ability to satisfy multiple and often conflicting demands of sales representatives and clients • Research and recommend product solutions • Work with Sales, Operations Team, Clients to plan and finalize projects through completion • Work with Vendors to gain information for product options, bids, and proposals To apply, please send cover letter and resume to: [email protected]
